Pennies for Protectors

Pennies for Protectors is an annual fundraising event organized by elementary school kids from Hayden Meadows Elementary School. Guided by the teaching leadership of Kristen Childers, each year they collect spare change to donate to first responders within their local community with a donation to Kootenai County Police and Fire Memorial Foundation. This year we are pleased to announce that the children raised $340.68 dollars. We are so proud and grateful to these little extraordinary human beings for their efforts, enthusiasm and demonstrated commitment to the community they live within.

To date children from Hayden Meadows Elementary have raised $5,600. The actions that these children demonstrate are a testament to future generations and citizens of Kootenai County who will continue to demonstrate and embody the values and ethics of giving back and getting involved in the communities which nurture this kind of exemplary conduct.

Thank you Hayden Meadows Elementary and Kristen Childers for fostering a spirit of generosity in our young people.

Thank You Coeur d'Alene Realtors!

Last year May 5th our community lost Sgt. Greg Moore #K27 when he gave his life in the line of duty. The Coeur d'Association of REALTORS brought awareness and gratitude with "Paint the the Town Blue" campaign (supporting those you put service before self by displaying a blue bulb on their front porch). They sold over 7,000 blue light-bulbs (Awesome👍🏼) and we were honored with a generous donation from them and the community with their donations and support. A special thank you to all that participated and appreciating our #firstresponders in protecting our #community and remembrance for ALL our fallen officers!
