ABOUT US

The Kootenai County Police & Fire Memorial Foundation also known as Memorial Foundation executes annual fundraising opportunities with the intent of building first responders social awareness within Kootenai County and articulating the critical needs of first responders who experience unforeseen catastrophic circumstances through donations!

Additionally, funds are generated through voluntary contributions from active first responders and donations through fundraising activities at our annual events!

Each of our events support our Mission. Many first responders voluntarily contribute to the Memorial Foundation via payroll deduction. If you are a first responder and are considering supporting us we welcome you to consider a voluntary payroll contribution or attending one of our events to learn more about our organization.

If you are seeking financial assistance for a catastrophic circumstance see our guidelines. We are happy to walk you through the process no matter your contribution status.

I just want to send a huge thanks! I was the first scholarship winner in 2010, Megan Hill (now Megan Overland) daughter of Spirit Lake firefighter Andy Hill, and the scholarship money was a huge help my first quarter in college.

I recently just graduated from SCC with a major in Respiratory Therapy. Since graduating June 21st, I have taken my first board exam (I passed!) and obtained a position as an RT at Sacred Heart Medical Center.

Again thank you for helping make my future brighter!
