Samantha Sherlock, a student at Lakeland high school, received a $1,5000 scholarship. Her parents are firefighters at Hauser Lake fire department
The Kootenai County Police & Fire Memorial Foundation awarded Elizabeth Bookamer, the 2014 Foundation Scholarship of $2,000. Elizabeth is the dependent of Ken Bookamer, a Kootenai County Fire & Rescue firefighter.
2013 Memorial Foundation Scholarship Award recipient, Richard "Ryley" Sullivan was a student at Gonzaga Prep H.S. and was awarded a check for $1,000. Ryley is the son of Pat Sullivan, Coeur d'Alene Police Department.
Leah Muzzy attended Lake City H.S. and her Memorial Foundation Scholarship Award was $1,500. Leah's father is a Kootenai County Sheriff deputy.
Kylie Johnson attended Lake City H.S. Her Memorial Foundation Scholarship Award was $2,000. Kylie's father is a CDA Police Officer.
2011 Foundation Scholarship recipient Kendra Stubbs, a student at Lakeland H.S. is awarded a check for $1,500. Kendra is the daughter of Steve Stubbs, Kootenai Co.Sheriff deputy. Kendra will be attending Whitworth University in the fall.

Megan Hill was the very first Memorial Foundation Scholarship Award winner.
The Scholarship Award is merit-based. The recipient(s) are chosen by a selection committee. Now in it's fifth year, the Memorial Foundation Scholarship Award has granted over $13,000 to college bound dependents of Kootenai County first responders. The recipients are truly among the brightest of today's young college students.
